Why we’re selling a few frames as seconds
Plywood has an “A” face and a “B” face — the B side often includes small patches or inserts to cover natural knots or imperfections. We do our best to position these where they won’t be seen, but occasionally they appear in more visible spots. While these minor marks don’t affect safety or function, they don’t quite meet our visual standards.
Rather than let these beautifully made frames go to waste, we offer them at a discounted price as factory seconds. In some cases, the coloured laminate on the steps may have a small chip. If it’s under 10 mm in length and can be placed on the underside of the step where it’s not easily seen, we’ll also classify the product as a second.
